3 Things To Try This #4thofJuly

It’s a holiday, it’s gorgeous out in Seattle, and you should be out there enjoying it if you can, so we’re going to keep this one short and simple.

social media, social media fourth of july, social media 4th
How many times do you reckon you'll hear this song today?

Here are 3 fun social media items to keep in mind this 4th of July. Hopefully they’ll make your fireworks just a little brighter this year.

  1. Listen to and use the hashtag #4thofjuly on Twitter.
  2. Check-in somewhere on Foursquare, especially a holiday related venue or event, perhaps a Fireworks show, BBQ, or beach? There’s bound to be a special badge lined up for tomorrow, make sure you don’t miss it. And hey, even if you don’t get a badge, there are bound to be some special deals out tomorrow.
  3. Send your friends an old-school Independence Day greeting on their phone!

And, if you can’t make it out to celebrate, watch the fireworks on your favorite mobile device, there are lot’s of apps no matter what phone you have, just do a search!

If you have a minute, tell us about your Fourth of July traditions in the comments! You can find me barbecuing  and watching Will Smith save the world from aliens in Independence Day. Happy 4th!

…yeah I did it. ‘Baby you’re a firework.’
