Monetize Your Blog Or Website: 3 Easy Affiliate Programs
You have a website, maybe even some decent traffic. You don’t necessarily sell a physical product, but people visit you for information or entertainment and you want to turn that into a little bit of cash money. Well, luckily there are a couple great programs for doing just that. Not everyone can work out a great advertising deal with a company, especially if your site doesn’t have a ton of traffic. But, that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to make big money off of what you already have.
- GoDaddy: With GoDaddy all you have to do is sign-up for an account and then follow directions in your account menu to join the affiliate program. With a bit of information, you’re good to go and they provide you with links and banners to put wherever you like on your site. When someone uses your link to go to GoDaddy and makes a purchase, you earn 20%. To sign-up, start here.
- Hootsuite: Our favorite social media hub also has a great affiliate program that we use ourselves. Every time you get someone to sign up for a paid version of Hootsuite, you get 50%! They provide banners, links, and a nice dashboard to manage your affiliate work. Learn more and sign up here.
- Tippr: Tippr is a local Seattle company and they have some sweet affiliate options as well. Publicize Tippr deals on your site and earn around 15% depending on the product. It’s as easy as sharing a deal you like and adding a link! You can also just use a widget that rotates different deals for you. Try it here.
Bonus: Amazon has a great affiliate program. It takes a little longer to get going on, but the array of products is amazing and the commission structures are pretty generous on most products. Zazzle is another way to make money if you want to design products with your site logo or just a cool shirt. You set up a store there and then sell the products you design online to anyone that wants one and you get to pick the percent commission you take. They also have an affiliate program for sending them purchasing traffic.
