Hurricane Sandy 7pm EST

It’s dark, rainy, and windy. The wind is making the light in my room sway as each gust blows the building. The Pier 54 is slowly getting buried by the water and high tide is an hour away. The wind is so noisy, it gives me the willies and make me want to hide under the table.

The lights are still on and my dinner should arrive soon. I’ve been chatting with friends around the world and here in NYC. Turns out a friend from Australia and Germany are at hotels in the city and we will probably miss each other. It has been nice to connect with so many people today. The lucky ones will snuggle up with your lives ones tonight!

Just looked out the window and I see water on the W10th coming over the seawall.
